Holy cow, it’s been much too long since my last blog post. I have been MIA for a quite a while. Most of you have probably already figured out what’s been going on in my life thanks to social media, but in case you live under a rock — my husband, Paul and I are expecting a baby BOY in November! SRM (his name is still a secret) is kicking, my belly is growing and we are over the moon about becoming parents just in time for the holidays! Now that I’ve gotten you (mostly) caught up on the personal stuff, I wanted to share this beautiful wedding at Dennis Vineyards I shot in April with the help of a wonderful second shooter, Becca Summerlin.

Madison contacted me over a year ago about shooting her wedding after doing some serious research on photographers. She and Ethan met in college. Ethan played on the drum line and Madison referred to herself as a “groupie.” She managed to always find herself around the same group of friends as Ethan. After graduation they spent months apart in a long distance relationship as they begin starting their careers, Madison as a crazy talented graphic designer and Ethan investing his time in young adults at a correctional facility. After months of goodbyes at the end of weekend visits, it wasn’t long before Ethan moved to Charlotte to be closer to Madison.

Their wedding was flawless. Madison thought through every detail and made sure her guests were taken care of and had a good time. She took time out of the day to share a First Look with her adoring parents and chose to walk up and over a hill to her ceremony site making for a stunning and dramatic entrance to meet Ethan at the alter. Ethan, you married up! Congratulations to you both!!
